[2013.05.17] DONNIE YEN CHARGES A FRIENDLY RATE FOR A SALUTE TO ELDERS

Teddy Chan Tak Sum will soon start production on the Donnie Yen Chi Tan, Charlie Yeung Choi Nei, Wang Baoqiang and Bai Bing starred Emperor Motion Picture YUT GOR YUN DIK MO LUM (MARTIAL ART WORLD OF ONE PERSON). In the film Yen Chi Tan would assist Inspector Charlie Yeung Choi Nei to resolve a case. As for the film will be a salute to a group of action film colleagues and elders, Chan Tak Sum said, "I am very appreciative of support from a group of action directors like (Stanley) Tong Kwai Lai, (Stephen) Tung Wai, (Dion) Lam Dik On, Xiong Xinxin, Yuen Cheung Yan, Yuen Bun, Lee Chung Chi and Yen Chi Tan. All I did was asked and they all provided valuable suggestions." He said that Hong Kong action films over the years have occupied a very important place in the world. He hoped through this film to invite a group of action film elders to perform and salute them. Reportedly, the film will contain suspense, police, kung fu and romantic elements.

As for getting Yen Chi Tan to perform, Chan Tak Sum said, "Originally he had a film scheduled, but the film didn't have a story yet. When I learned about his free time I talked to him about the script. After hearing he was very interested so he took it." As for the friendly price tag, Yen Chi Tan's spokesperson said, "Chi Tan and Chan Tak Sum are good friends, of course they have room to negotiate. However the salary amount is a business secret, we are not at liberty to reveal it." Chan Tak Sum planned to raise fund with the film's premiere and call everyone's attention to safeguard the action film industry.
