Simon Yam Tat Wa yesterday attended his new film YIT OI DOH (PASSION ISLAND)'s cast recruitment. Nearly 100 people auditioned and most were strangely dressed. Some even deliberately dressed like other artists like Chrissie Chau Sau Na, Charlene Choi Chuek Yin and Jolin Tsai (Choi Yi Lam). Some also dressed as Lydia Shum Din Ha and the classic character Plain Jane.

Brother Wa expressed that the new film will shoot on a small island in the Philippines but the details will have to be kept confidential until the announcement later. As for what he was looking for in new actors, Brother Wa said, "We will choose a few actors and actresses, outstanding costumes won't necessarily qualify. The most important is the fire inside to act. Of course actors have to be on time."

Brother Wa said that Kam Kwok Leung will direct the new film, the preparation of which is almost complete. The script is still being worked on and he believed they will start work soon. Will his wife and daughter go to the island with him? Brother Wa said, "With such a rare chance to go to an island and shoot for a month, I will bring them with me for a holiday." Will the new film subject have fiery love scenes? Brother Wa said, "No, it is a romantic flame film. Other cast members can't be revealed yet but they will give everyone pleasant surprises." Brother Wa also said that he had to get into shape to show off his fit figure on the island beach.
