The Peter Chan Ho Sun, Huang Jianxin produced, Teddy Chan Tak Sum directed New Year film BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS (SUP YUET WAI SING) yesterday held a ceremony in Beijing. The film gathered Donnie Yen Chi Tan, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Hu Jun, Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Fan Bingbing, Michelle Reis (Lee Ka Yun) and Leon Lai Ming in its cast. Yesterday the China Film Group, Shanghai Media Group, Jiangsu provincial broadcasting corporate, Guangdong Southern media corporation, Guangdong Elegance Cultural Broadcasting, Beijing Asian Union Film and Media, EE Media, Beijing Polybona film distribution and other investment representatives, along with actors Wang Xueqi, Wong Bo-Chieh, and Tony Leung Ka Fai launched the first shot in the BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS promotion.
The event aired an 8 minute long promotional film. BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS from now until December 18 will begin promotions "at sea, on land and in the air". The 8 minute promotional film shone a spotlight on "60 minute fight scene without panting". In the film Yen Chi Tan flew over roofs and walked on walls; assassin flipped Tse Ting Fung 360 degrees in the air; Chris Li Yuchun ran with a backpack full of explosives; Leung Ka Fai fell from the roof and covered in scars; Simon Yam Tat Wa was surrounded by soldiers; Lai Ming battled alone; one after another were fight scenes that were full of creativity. Director Chan Tak Sum even pointed out that if BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS' fight scenes were less than 60 minutes, a full refund will be given.
In the future the promotion will include a 60 million advertising campaign and top ten grandest premiere in the nation; Chan Ho Sun expressed that the film will take full advantage of "timing, location and people". At the event, four large drums were in place. When the drum sticks went to the film creators, Chan Ho Sun, Wang Jianxin, Chan Tak Sum, Wang Xueqi and Leung Ka Fai made temporary "revolutionaries". At drummer Wong Bo-Chieh's strike, they started a "pass the drum" game. Chan Tak Sum revealed that the film has entered a completely lock down. The film will be within 135 minutes in length. Yen Chi Tan and Lai Ming's fight scene left him with no choice but to be kept in its entirety.
